In I Peter 5: 1-4, Peter commands “I admonish the elders among you, as a companion to the elders and a witness to the sufferings of Christ, who will also share in the glory which is to be revealed. Feed the flock of God that is in you, not by force, but voluntarily according to God’s will, and not because you want to gain profit, but with self-dedication. Do not act as if you are going to rule over those who are entrusted to you, but be examples to the flock. Then you, when the Great Shepherd comes, you will receive a crown of glory that cannot wither. ” Peter commanded the elders of the church at that time and also to this day to become people entrusted by God to feed the sheep of Christ. To love, build up God’s sheep to follow the Great Shepherd, who is Jesus Christ.
